‘A Title Doesn’t Define Me’ – Jade Cargill Reacts To WWE Women’s Championship Loss To Rhea Ripley At WrestleMania 42 Sunday WWE

Jade Cargill has reacted after losing the WWE Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42 Sunday.

In one of two world title changes at WrestleMania 42 Sunday, Jade Cargill saw her 169 day run with the WWE Women’s Championship brought to an end by Rhea Ripley.

As many expected, the match saw interference on both sides, with Michin and B-Fab aiding Cargill, and IYO SKY coming out to even the odds on Rhea Ripley’s behalf.

After SKY laid out both Michin and B-Fab with a Springboard Moonsault, Ripley reversed Cargill’s attempt to deliver Jaded and instead hit a Riptide to become new WWE Women’s Champion.

Following her loss, Cargill took to Twitter to share a defiant statement:

A Title doesn’t define me. With or without it I’m me and I’m STILL that Bitch

Cargill’s stablemates Michin and B-Fab echoed the former WWE Women’s Champion’s statement, with Michin writing the following on Twitter:

B-Fab then added:

IYO SKY Reacts To Rhea Ripley’s Big Win

While plenty of fans have voiced their displeasure at WWE’s decision to omit IYO SKY from the WWE WrestleMania 42 card, the “Genius of the Sky” still played an important role in Las Vegas.

After helping Ripley become the new WWE Women’s Champion, SKY took to social media to share some kind words for her tag team partner.

She wrote:

Mami is back on top at the biggest show of WWE!!!!!!!

IYO SKY celebrates with Rhea Ripley at WWE WrestleMania 42

Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY held the WWE Womenn’s Tag Team Titles for 53 days

With Ripley now set for a permanent move to SmackDown due to holding the blue brand’s top women’s prize, it seems as if RHIYO could be on ice, at least for now.

Meanwhile, SKY still has to contend with her own problems on Raw, as she finds herself involved in a feud with former teammates Asuka and Kairi Sane.

A match between SKY and Asuka was reportedly at one point planned for the WrestleMania 42 card, however, it did not end up making the cut.

Instead, the match may end up happening at WWE Backlash, although even that was said to be “up in the air” prior to WrestleMania 42.

Who Will Be First Up To Challenge Rhea Ripley For WWE Women’s Championship?

For the first time since November 1, SmackDown’s WWE Women’s Champion is not Jade Cargill, and it will be interesting to see how the company handles this changing of the guard on the blue brand.

While Jade Cargill is the most likely first challenger for Ripley post WrestleMania 42, there are many other interesting names who could also step up to the plate.

With Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss all walking out of WrestleMania 42 without WWE Women’s Tag Team Title gold, perhaps one, or several of them could re-enter the chase for Ripley’s belt.

Alternatively there is also the possibility of some new faces being called up from NXT, most obviously Jacy Jayne, who seems like a clear candidate to jump to the main roster after two memorable runs as NXT Women’s Champion within the last year.
