IMPACT Wrestling star Jake Something is now a free agent following last night’s (March 5) IMPACT Wrestling Sacrifice pay-per-view event, per Fightful Select (subscription required).
Fightful had previously reported that Jake Something’s deal was up at the end of February, but he had one outstanding date remaining on the contract, which was last night’s show.
Despite the deal being set to expire, IMPACT put him in a top spot in an X-Division title match for Sacrifice, which is slated to be his last date with the company as of now. Fightful notes that no deal has been reached as of now, and Something isn’t scheduled to be at the Sunday television tapings.
It was mentioned that things ended on good terms between the two sides, and that Jake would ‘likely be welcomed back’. It was reiterated to Fightful that this doesn’t necessarily spell the end of the two working together if they can reach an agreement in the future.
