Jey Uso Issues Correction To WWE About His Bloodline Status WWE

Jey Uso has corrected WWE on social media following his match on Friday’s edition of SmackDown.

During the October 13 show, Jey and Cody Rhodes defended their WWE Tag Team Championship against ‘A-Town Down Under’ Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.

Waller, who apparently isn’t familiar with wrestling lore, attempted to headbutt Jey Uso, but paid the price, knocking himself silly.

WWE shared a clip of this moment to Instagram, with the added caption:

Never headbutt an Anoa’i

Wanting to be known as a Fatu, Jey Uso commented on the video:

I’m a Fatu. Correct that.

You can view the video below.

The Fatus are considered by many to be a part of the Anoa’i wrestling family dynasty, with the two legendary wrestling families joined by the marriage of I’aulualo Folau Solofa Fatu Sr and Elevera (Vera) Anoaʻi.

Solofa and Elevera were notably the parents of ‘Tonga Kid’ Samuel Fatu, Umaga and Rikishi, the father of Jey Uso.

Elevera Anoaʻi was the aunt of Roman Reigns, as she was the sister of Reigns’ father Sika.

Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes have since dropped the WWE Tag Team Title, losing the gold to the Judgment Day on Monday Night Raw.
