AEW Star Kris Statlander Expected Out For 6-8 Months AEW

On the latest Road to Dynamite, Kris Statlander has revealed an unfortunate update regarding her expected return time.

After providing an update to the relatively vague announcement that aired on last week’s AEW Dynamite (August 10) on her Instagram stories, Kris Statlander has now spoken out with greater detail, describing her injury and the plan for recovery.

Sharing her story on the All Elite Wrestling official YouTube channel video, Statlander said:

“Last week we had a live Rampage in Grand Rapids, Michigan I believe, and we filmed some Dark matches. And I did a big boot that I don’t really do often, but decided to do today and when I landed, my knee buckled on me and after getting an MRI, I have a completely torn ACL, my lateral meniscus is torn and there is lateral impaction fractures in by tibial and femoral heads so tiny little cracks that are more like a bruise but technically a broken leg.”

When asked if she had an injury of this magnitude before, Statlander said:

“Not with this leg, I’ve had a similar injury with my left leg this is my right leg, so my good knee went bad. What was weird is that with the first one I was in so much pain and couldn’t walk, and then with this one that just happened I didn’t really have as much pain, it was uncomfortable but after 24-36 hours, I was able to walk around on it fine, little to no swelling… so we were really hoping for the best and uh, it turned out to probably be the worst.”

Finally, detailing her expected recovery time, Kris Statlander shared her goal for the future, saying:

“So recovery time? Is probably 6-8 months post-operation…. So it could be 6 to 8 months, hopefully closer to 6 considering I know what I have to do, I’ve done this before, I came back bigger, better, more galactic and stronger than ever and I’m just going to take this opportunity to do that one more time.”
