Tony Khan has announced a last minute change to the AEW Worlds End card after continued speculation online.
Ahead of AEW Worlds End, Keith Lee who is set to be involved in a hotly anticipated match on pay-per-view has revealed that he is injured.
Fan favorite AEW star Keith Lee revealed that he is working through injury and is trying to ‘get through today’ for the fans.
Keith Lee wrote:
“Today… I keep it very real with you guys.
“I have been working through an injury since Arthur Ashe Stadium 2022. It has been mostly well taken care of.
“Things have been worse since Final Battle. I am trying to get through today for you guys, but I cannot promise anything.”
Keith Lee was set to take on Swerve Strickland at tonight’s AEW Worlds End in the culmination of their past feud however since Lee’s original tweet, an update from AEW CEO Tony Khan.
Taking to Twitter to confirm that the match had since been changed, Khan wrote:
“Due to injury, AEW doctors can’t clear Keith Lee for his match tonight at Worlds End. His Naturally Limitless partner Dustin Rhodes has asked to step in to face Swerve TONIGHT”
He attached an updated match graphic that noted Dustin Rhodes having replaced Keith Lee in the match tonight on pay-per-view.
Elsewhere in AEW news, it seems that a star may be done with the company after tonight’s show.
