Lil Yachty Staying With WWE After WrestleMania 42 WWE

Lil Yachty will be staying with WWE following the conclusion of WrestleMania 42 week and the celebrity involvement for that event.

There were plenty of celebrities brought into WWE TV ahead of Mania to the point it became a big point of criticism, most infamously Pat McAfee, as well as the likes of Jelly Roll, IShowSpeed and Yachty himself.

Lil Yachty’s role over the past few weeks saw him as the cornerman and hype man for Trick Williams, including helping Williams win the United States Championship from Sami Zayn.

While the likes of McAfee, Jelly Roll and Speed are now done with WWE – at least for the time being until the next time they’re brought in – Yachty will be sticking around.

He accompanied Williams for his championship celebration on SmackDown tonight and said:

“I can’t help but notice we’ve passed the road to WrestleMania celebrity tour, and I’m still here. That means I’m here to stay!”

Williams has noted in interviews recently that Yachty has been doing some in-ring training with a view to potentially getting in the ring at some point.

The celebration tonight on SmackDown in Fort Worth, Texas saw Williams and Yachty say that they won’t be continuing the WWE United States Championship open challenge that was held by Sami Zayn, Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes in recent months.

With them in the ring was the Gingerbread Man mascot they introduced last week to mock Zayn, only this time, it was actually Zayn himself in the outfit, and he surprised them both with an attack.

As has been the case quite a lot in recent weeks, Zayn was met with boos from the crowd when he revealed himself.
