Jade Cargill has admitted that a switch from SmackDown to WWE Raw would be beneficial for her for family reasons, but her goals remain the same regardless.
Tonight’s April 24 episode of Friday Night SmackDown will be the first since October 31 where Jade Cargill will not be holding the WWE Women’s Championship.
“The Storm” saw her 169 day title reign ended by Rhea Ripley at WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday, and during an appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Cargill said she has “no idea” what’s next for her, but she hopes to receive a rematch for the WWE Women’s Title.
Cargill said:
“I will hope so. I mean, a lot of people don’t get rematches these days. When I defeated Tiffany I didn’t get my rematch. So, I don’t know it’s up to them I guess.”

As seen on the Raw after WrestleMania this past Monday, the first week after “The Show of Shows” is typically when WWE likes to shake up its roster, whether due to superstars winning championships, such as Raw’s Rhea Ripley winning SmackDown’s WWE Women’s Title or stars from NXT being called up, such as Ethan Page, Sol Ruca and Joe Hendry.
Later in the interview, Cargill was asked whether her goals would still be the same in WWE should she move from SmackDown to Raw, to which she said:
“My goals will be the same because I’m here to take over and I want to be in the Hall of Fame. That’s my goal. That’s going to happen regardless if y’all like it or not.”
Despite this, Cargill did admit that working Mondays rather than Fridays would be better for her personally for family reasons:
“It’ll be better on me to work on Monday Night Raw, just because I have a kid and Friday’s are more family oriented and I miss out on a lot of events with my family because we’re the patriarch for our families and getting together for Fridays and Saturdays. And Mondays feel like a work day.”

Jade Cargill has been a mainstay on SmackDown since making her WWE debut in January 2024, her stablemates Michin and B-Fab are also members of the blue brand’s roster.
What Changes Could We See On SmackDown?

Jacy Jayne held the WWE NXT Women’s Championship for a combined 288 days across two separate reigns
While Cargill appears likelier to remain where she is and attempt to regain her WWE Women’s Title, we should expect some more moves to take place on tonight’s SmackDown in Fort Worth, TX.
Names such as Jacy Jayne and Ricky Saints have been speculated to potentially make the move from NXT to SmackDown, while fixtures of Monday Night Raw like Rey Mysterio have also been rumored to be under consideration for a move.
As well as new arrivals, we will also potentially be seeing established stars like Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes take time off, with “The Scottish Warrior” out in his homeland to film his role in Highlander, while Rhodes is not medically cleared after suffering an orbital bone injury at WrestleMania 42.
The Raw after WrestleMania 42 felt like the beginning of a new season of WWE TV, and fans will be hoping SmackDown provides the same tonight.
