More WWE Stars Released Including Aleister Black, Zelina Vega & Kairi Sane WWE

Several more names have reportedly been released by WWE in addition to those intitially revealed earlier today.

UPDATE – You can see the full updated list of all WWE releases – which does include more new additions since this article was posted – at this link.

Among the new additions to the list as reported by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp are some relatively big names in Aleister Black, Zelina Vega and Kairi Sane.

It’s noted that as of right now, it’s unclear if these are officially “releases” as in contract terminations, or if they are instead contract expirations.

Black only returnded to WWE a year ago after a several year run in AEW following an initial departure from WWE in 2021.

He was involved in the Randy Orton heel turn on Cody Rhodes storyline and was seen as recently as the pre-WrestleMania episode of SmackDown in the background of some of the Orton and Pat McAfee backstage segments.

Black’s real-life wife Zelina Vega has also been released by WWE, with the pair only put together in an on-screen partnership a few months ago.

Also among the departures is Kairi Sane, who has been involved in a long-term storyline on Raw with Asuka and IYO SKY, as SKY has been trying to essentially rescue Sane from the grasps of Asuka’s abusive mentorship.

The latest confirmations of WWE departures also include Santos Escobar – who actually left WWE upon the expiration of his contract a few months ago, then re-signed, but recently suffered a long-term injury.

Also added are Apollo Crews, who had been with WWE for 12 years, as well as the Motor City Machine Guns – Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley – who only signed in late 2024.

We’ll continue to keep you posted with further updates.
