There was a major title change in the opening bout of tonight’s WWE premium live event, WWE Fastlane.
The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest put their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship on the line against the fairly recent pairing of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.
With Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh all coming to ringside, providing various distraction interferences at first, it would prove to be McDonagh who may have changed the tide of the match.
With McDonagh using the Money in the Bank briefcase to swing, he inadvertently hit Damian Priest’s knee in lieu of his intended target.
This allowed Cody Rhodes to capitalize and deliver a vicious Cross Rhodes on the commentary desk, taking Priest out of the match.
Back in the ring, teamwork between Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes led to a Cutter to Cross Rhodes combination on Finn Balor.
Cody Rhodes would pick up the pinfall victory over Finn Balor to secure the victory for his team.
Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes are now the new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
