An update has emerged on Japanese star Miyu Yamashita, who was spotted in attendance at Tuesday’s October 17 NXT taping.
Following the Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling star’s social media posts about her time at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Yamashita was spotted wearing the same cap at this week’s NXT show, sitting in the area behind the commentary desk.
It’s worth noting that Yamashita was in Orlando this weekend to wrestle for SPARK Joshi Puroresu, so wasn’t in Orlando solely to visit WWE.
It is also believed that Yamashita is seated next to CB Liffer, the founder of SPARK Joshi Puroresu, which would indicate that this may have just been a passing visit, rather than a sign Yamashita has joined WWE.
While Yamashita hasn’t posted about NXT, she has commented on her time in Disney World in Orlando.
Yamashita took to Twitter to note:
Coincidentally, on the day of the 100th anniversary, I was at Disneyland in Florida. It was a wonderful time.
My favorite Pooh appeared when I was buying a drink at the shop, so I couldn’t chase it, that’s the only regret.

Yamashita does have some connections in WWE, with Yamashita training with Raw star Natalya over the summer.
She also wrestled two matches for AEW last year, including an AEW Women’s World Championship match against Thunder Rosa on Dynamite.
We’ll keep you posted if there are any further updates on her status.
