MJF Comments On Beating Samoa Joe At AEW Dynamite Grand Slam AEW

MJF has reacted to his AEW Dynamite Grand Slam victory over Samoa Joe on September 20, 2023 which saw him retain the World Championship.

In the run-up to last night’s match, MJF shared his thoughts on Samoa Joe, promising to him out whilst cutting a Scott Steiner-inspired promo.

AEW Dynamite Grand Slam itself would see another homage from MJF as he recreated an iconic Bret “Hitman” Hart promo with a young fan.

MJF would face Samoa Joe at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, with Adam Cole suffering an injury during his spot in the match.

As can be seen from the video below, MJF’s predication came true with his victory over Samoa Joe coming by choking out the challenger.

MJF has now broken his silence on his victory on Twitter, writing:

“I always keep good on my promises.

“Choked out Joe.

“And still.”

While MJF retained, Jon Moxley lost the AEW International Championship to Rey Fenix after suffering an injury during his match.

Elsewhere on the show, Sammy Guevara chose to join the Don Callis Family after his match with Chris Jericho.
