A new TNA Wrestling championship has officially been announced on the pre-show for tonight’s Slammiversary event.

Earlier this week, it was reported by Fightful Select that there had been discussions about TNA potentially introducing a new women’s championship, namely a women’s midcard championship.

The Knockouts division has been a highlight of TNA television for over 20 years now, and TNA has now officially added a new title to the division.

Who Should Be The Inaugural TNA Knockouts Television Champion?

With the tournament getting underway on next week’s episode of TNA IMPACT, we won’t have to wait long to find out who the inaugural holder of the title will be.

The Knockouts division currently features a lot of rising stars, including names like Indi Hartwell, Elayna Black, Mara Sade and Jada Stone, all of who would be great first holders of the title.

If TNA instead wants to opt for a more established name to be it’s inaugural champion, names like Ash by Elegance, Rosemary and Tasha Steels would also make good choices.

Outside of the company, there are a long list of currently available free agent women’s stars that could be brought in to feature in the tournament, including names like Charlie (Dakota Kai), Shotzi Blackheart and Kay Lee Ray.

With Women’s wrestling continuing to show out all over the world right now, introducing more championships and elevating the division further is only going to allow for more exposure for some of the lesser names in the division.
