Who Pitched Carlito WWE 2023 Return Revealed

Backstage details have emerged on Carlito’s return at the WWE Backlash 2023 premium live event earlier this year, ahead of him rejoining the company.

At the May 6 event in Puerto Rico, Carlito made an appearance to help Bad Bunny in his street fight against Damian Priest.

Following the show, many fans called for Carlito to sign with WWE again, which he eventually did.

Speaking on the Ringer Wrestling Show, Carlito revealed that it was Bad Bunny’s idea to have him appear at the event.

The former US Champion explained:

“Bad Bunny is a fan. I think he was a fan of mine growing up.

“One of his ideas was he thought it’d be a great idea for me to be a part of it.

“You know, of course being in Puerto Rico, you know, it just made perfect sense.”

Carlito signed with WWE again over the summer, making his WWE in-ring return at Fastlane 2023, joining Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar towards the end of their match.
