An update has emerged on Randy Orton’s WWE return, with more details emerging on Orton training ahead of Survivor Series 2023.
At the November 25 premium live event, Orton returned to the ring after 18 months away, teaming with Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins to defeat Damian Priest, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio and Drew McIntyre.
While Orton’s return was announced on the go-home edition of Raw, there had already been rumors swirling about the Viper’s comeback, after Orton was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in September.
We now know more about Orton’s training, and who he was training with.
Per PWInsider, NXT star Damon Kemp was one of the talents who Orton trained with to prepare for his return.
Damon Kemp has been appearing on WWE TV since 2021, and was previously a member of the Diamond Mine faction, alongside current Raw stars Julius and Brutus Creed.
Kemp is notably the brother of Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson, who is also signed to WWE.
Orton made an appearance on Monday’s (November 27) edition of Raw, defeating Dominik Mysterio in singles action.
The Orton vs Mysterio match reportedly went longer than it was slotted for.
That timing issue led to CM Punk getting less time than planned for his promo at the end of the show.
Orton’s next WWE appearance has been announced, which you can read more about right here.
