UPDATE: Another advertised match seems to have been removed from tonight’s Raw – read more here.
A big advertised match for tonight’s episode (October 2) of WWE Raw has now been delayed due to an injury to a top star.
At this past weekend’s NXT No Mercy event, Becky Lynch defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Tiffany Stratton in an Extreme Rules main event.
On last week’s episode of Raw, it was announced that the winner of the match would defend the title against Tegan Nox on tonight’s show.
Lynch retained the title, though she didn’t come out of the match unscathed, as she sustained a laceration that required 11 stitches to close.
In an update from Fightful, Lynch has not been cleared to compete for tonight’s episode of Raw, with the planned match against Tegan Nox now being delayed.
Becky shared a graphic photo of the injury on Instagram after the show, which you can see here.
Tiffany Stratton has reacted to her loss to Lynch at No Mercy, which you can see here.
WWE sources confirmed to Fightful Select that Becky Lynch is not cleared to compete on tonight's WWE Raw as of now due to the laceration on her arm.
