Renee Young Lead Candidate For New WWE TV Role

According to a report from The Lead, Raw commentator Renee young is the lead candidate to host the upcoming weekly WWE Studio show on Fox Sports 1.

Little is currently know about the show, which is set to start on Tuesday night once SmackDown moves to Friday nights.

It isn’t clear whether this would force Young out of her commentator role, but personally I think this new role would be a much better fit for her skillset. She has struggled to make an impact on commentary, presumably because she is constantly fed lines through her earpiece and not given any creative freedom.

Young has previously hosted Talking Smack on the WWE Network, a highly entertaining show before WWE made the decision to axe it, and she proved during her time as host that this kind of role is much more her thing.

Young started with in 2012, and has since had almost every role you can think of in WWE. She even slapped the Miz once.

There has been talk that Young could be on her way out of the company following her husband Dean Ambrose’s move to AEW and NJPW, but it seems WWE is still keen on holding onto her for the time being.
