WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair says that he didn’t like his daughter Charlotte’s match at WrestleMania 42 this past weekend.
At WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Charlotte Flair teamed with her tag team partner Alexa Bliss in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match.
The match would be won by Brie Bella and the returning Paige, who subbed in for Nikki Bella after she suffered an injury during a match against Charlotte and Alexa on SmackDown in March.
The match times of WrestleMania 42 have been an issue to most fans who watched the show, with the Women’s Tag Team Championship match going only 8 minutes.
Ric Flair Says He Didn’t Like Charlotte Flair’s WrestleMania 42 Match
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has been rather outspoken on his daughter Charlotte’s career in WWE, and he was asked his thoughts on her match at this year’s event.
Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Flair was asked his thoughts on the match, with him noting that he ‘didn’t like it’, and pitching for Charlotte to return to singles action.
He said:
“I didn’t like her match at all, and I think that Ashley (Charlotte) needs to be (a singles wrestler), and I know she enjoys her relationship with Alexa, but if Ashley is not in a title picture right now, in my life and as a spectator, without her in the main event in a singles match.
“The match she had with Rhea Ripley two years ago, they’ve never had a match like that ever in the history of women’s wrestling, and Rhea’s getting gold as well, I’m putting them both over.”

Charlotte Flair Plans Following WrestleMania 42?
Coming out of WrestleMania 42, there are a number of potential plans for Charlotte Flair on the SmackDown brand.
While Charlotte and Alexa are currently a tag team, Rhea Ripley now reigns as the WWE Women’s Champion on SmackDown, with her having obvious history with Rhea, and making sense to be the first challenger of Rhea’s reign with the title.
Charlotte was speculated to be the opponent for Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42 after it was clear that Bianca Belair wouldn’t make the show, before ultimately the spot went to Rhea Ripley.
