In an interview on today’s WrestleTalk Podcast, Ricky Starks confirmed he is now a permanent member of the AEW Rampage commentary team.
Starks made his debut on Rampage commentary this past Friday, alongside Excalibur, Taz, and Chris Jericho, but there was no confirmation that it was a permanent change.
On today’s WrestleTalk podcast, he said:
“I am definitely proud of AEW, the work that I’ve done in AEW, and the work that I continue to do. And the fact that I think so much that they appreciate me that they made me a permanent commentator for Rampage, replacing Mark (Henry).
“So, I love that fact, I love the fact that the work that I’ve done with Sting, Darby (Allin), and all of these things in such a small timeframe, will last on forever.
“I want more though. I really do, I really want to push myself more and really explore the depths of my talent and get out of my comfort zone a bit.”

Ricky Starks had previously done commentary with Excalibur and Taz on AEW Dark, so it’s not like this has come out of nowhere for him.
Henry still appeared on the show for some backstage interviews, so it seems like that’ll be his role going forward.
Stay tuned to our exclusives page because we’ll be covering some more quotes coming out of our interview with Ricky Starks throughout the coming days.
