Rock N’ Roll Express Announces Farewell Tour

WWE Hall of Famers Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson of The Rock N’ Roll Express will soon begin their farewell tour as a team.

Morton took to Twitter to reveal that the he and Gibson will start saying their tag-team farewells on January 22, noting that he wants to focus more on his behind-the-scenes wrestling career.

Confirming that he plans to continue teaming with his son, Kerry Gibson, Morton wrote:

Rock & Roll Express Farewell tour begins January 22nd, 2022. I want to focus more with Kerry and behind the scenes in the wrestling business.

Specify, Robert and I are retiring from tag team wrestling together. Not appearances/signings. I would like to continue to tag team with my son and work with the younger generation in this glorious business.

The Rock N’ Roll Express was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017. Morton and Gibson have been teaming for almost 40 years, most recently sharing the ring in November 2021 against the Bollywood Boyz at Wrestlecade: Revenge.

On January 22, the duo will kick off their farewell tour against AEW’s FTR., who were ranked #3 on AEW’s tag team rankings this week. Stay up to date with AEW Rankings by using our tracker at this link.
