Roman Reigns Passes Significant Championship Milestone

Roman Reigns Passes Significant Championship Milestone WWE

Roman Reigns has passed yet another milestone in his historic Undisputed WWE Universal Championship run.

For over three years the Tribal Chief has reigned over WWE, with a period of dominance not seen in the company since Hulk Hogan in the 1980s.

While Reigns’ time as champion now seems to fall under one umbrella since WWE unified the WWE and Universal Championships, they are still recognised as separate entities.

This means both still have differing lineages, one of which he just passed a significant milestone in.

Although Reigns’ over 600 day run as WWE Champion is nothing to be scoffed at, he has now held the WWE Universal Championship for 1200 days, winning the title all the way back on August 30, 2022.

Defeating Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman to win the championship, Reigns has gone on to defend his title against a who’s who of WWE stars including John Cena, Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes among many, many more.

One name he has yet to defend his title against however, is one that is chasing his very-own legacy as a world champion within WWE: Randy Orton.

Orton’s recent move to SmackDown has seemingly put him on a revenge mission against Reigns and The Bloodline, who he deems responsible for his lengthy absence from in-ring action for 18 months.

As well as revenge Orton is also undoubtedly seeking a fifteenth world title, which would put him within touching distance of 16-time world champions Ric Flair and John Cena.

Reigns will be back on WWE TV for the first time since Crown Jewel 2023 on this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown (December 15).
