Saraya Recalls Top WWE Stars Crying After Her Serious Neck Injury

Saraya has recalled two top WWE stars crying after her serious neck injury.

On the Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite, Saraya, formerly known as Paige in WWE, made her debut in All Elite Wrestling.

This surprised many fans after Saraya announced her exit from WWE following her contract expiring in July. At that point, it had been nearly five years since the tragic injury that ended her career.

On December 27, 2017, Paige took a stiff kick to the back from Sasha Banks at a house show in New York on WWE’s Live Holiday Tour.

Speaking on the latest Talk Is Jericho, the AEW star discussed her scary injury that ended her in-ring run in WWE.

She said:

“My neck just friggin snapped back like I was in a car crash. And then I was like paralyzed for like a couple of minutes, which is the most terrifying thing … I just remember laying there, and then I didn’t cry, but I knew instantly I was just like, ‘This is it like I’m done? Like, I’m toast, right?”‘

Laying in the ring paralyzed, the former Paige described looking over at Sasha Banks and Bayley who were crying.

She said:

“I look over and I see Sasha [Banks], Bayley and there’s Mickie James and everyone. They were just crying. I look at Mandy and Sonya, and they were crying.”

Since her arrival in AEW, Saraya has been embroiled in a feud with Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.

As previously reported, the AEW star has been reportedly cleared to compete by Dr. Sampson.
