On the September 30 edition of SmackDown, Max Dupri stated that he was done with the Maximum Male Models faction, cutting ties with Ma.cé, Månsôör and Maxxine Dupri in a backstage segment.
Following recent teases, many have speculated that Max Dupri will return to his ‘LA Knight’ character.
Per PWInsider, the former Million Dollar Champion is already listed as LA Knight on the internal WWE roster. The report noted that Maximum Male Models is expected to continue on as a trio.
LA Knight had an eventful NXT run, debuting his Knight name in February 2021. He went on to win the Million Dollar Championship in a match against Cameron Grimes that June, before losing the gold to Grimes that August.
He dropped the ‘Knight’ name in May, when his Max Dupri gimmick was brought to TV. The Maximum Male Models team had made its debut in a dark segment ahead of the group’s TV debut.
LA Knight/Max Dupri hasn’t wrestled since losing to Gunther at NXT Stand & Deliver in April.
