Surprising WWE Departure As Layoffs Continue

Surprising WWE Departure As Layoffs Continue WWE

UPDATE: The WWE layoffs today are complete – click here for the latest.

There has been a surprising WWE departure to add to the list of those who have exited the company today as layoffs are ongoing.

In what WWE President Nick Khan referred to as “workforce reductions”, a whole lot of WWE employees are being made redundant today (September 15) following the merger with UFC/Endeavor to form TKO.

In addition to what we’ve already covered, the layoffs are continuing, and, as reported by PWInsider, a surprising name who is gone from WWE is Dana Warrior.

Dana is the widow of the Ultimate Warrior, and had most recently been working in WWE’s community outreach department after a stint on the creative team.

Since Ultimate Warrior’s passing in 2014, Dana has presented the ‘Warrior Award’ at the annual WWE Hall of Fame ceremonies.

Another departure that’s been confirmed is digital campaigns manager Alexa Gotthardt. She wrote on LinkedIn:

I was on the #WWE / #TKO list nobody wanted to be on today.

Even though I can’t stay, I’ve got some epic memories to carry me through. It wasn’t just rolling out and optimizing partners’ digital campaigns- I got to enjoy so many more laughs and learnings with the team.

From working with some of the best talent around, to writing some of the funniest social media copy we’ll ever think of, being able to help at productions, appearances or even to wrangling a French Bulldog- it’s been a very memorable time!

Please let me know if you happen to hear of an opening anywhere; I pride myself on being creative yet organized and am looking forward to continuing my career in a similar role.

Thank you for your support.

WWE talents and performers are not set to be part of today’s layoffs – the focus is on staff members/employees.

We’ll keep you posted with any further updates.

We wish all the best to any WWE personnel who receive unfortunate news today.
