The Rock has commented on his grandmother Lia Maivia being inducted into the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame.
On last night’s WWE Raw (April 1) the final inductee into this year’s Hall of Fame class was confirmed to be wrestling’s first female promoter Lia Maivia.
Taking to Twitter after the news broke, Maivia’s grandson The Rock commented on the news, uploading a video along with a heartfelt message.
Rock wrote:
I’m honored to announce, that I will be inducting my grandmother, Lia Maivia, into the @WWE Hall of Fame – class of 2024. One of the first ever female promoters of professional wrestling.
She was a trail blazer.
She was a protector of our family.
She was the real Final Boss.
Congratulations grandma I miss you.
