The Usos Make History With WWE SummerSlam Title Defence WWE

The Usos made history with their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship defence at SummerSlam.

During the July 30 premium live event, Jimmy & Jey defeated the Street Profits to retain their gold. Jeff Jarrett acted as special referee for the bout.

As pointed out by Wrestling Stats & Info on Twitter, The Usos are the first team in WWE history to defend a tag title on the main cards of two consecutive SummerSlam events.

The Usos became SmackDown Tag Team Champions during the kickoff show for Money in the Bank 2021, and defended the gold against The Mysterios at SummerSlam 2021.

In May, The Usos defeated RK-Bro in a Winner Takes All title bout to unify the SmackDown and Raw tag-team championships.

SummerSlam 2022 was a great night for the Bloodline, with Roman Reigns defeating Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing bout to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of the show.

Reigns had defeated Lesnar to unify the WWE and Universal titles at WrestleMania 38.

The Usos’ last two-on-two tag match defeat came at the hands of Drew McIntyre & Sheamus on the June 24 edition of SmackDown. Reigns’ most recent televised loss happened at Royal Rumble in January, when he was disqualified from his Universal Title defence against Seth Rollins.
