Scrapped Pitch For WWE SummerSlam 2024 Location Revealed WWE

A scrapped pitch for a venue for this year’s SummerSlam event has now been revealed, ahead of the August 3 WWE premium live event.

As was previously announced, SummerSlam 2024 will emanate from the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.

It has now been revealed that another venue in Ohio made an effort to host SummerSlam, with the Cincinnati Bengals reportedly reaching out to WWE regarding the possibility of the company holding the Biggest Party of the Summer at Paycor Stadium.

Discussing the Cincinnati Bengals’ efforts, Hamilton County Administrator Jeff Alutto said:

“They did reach out several times. They said they didn’t call back.”

Paycor Stadium, the home of the Cincinnati Bengals, has a record attendance of 67,260. This was for a Bengals vs. Dolphins NFL game in 2022, suggesting that the attendance could be higher for a wrestling show.

The chosen SummerSlam venue, the Cleveland Browns Stadium, has a record attendance of 73,718, set at a Browns vs Steelers game in 2002.

Cleveland, Ohio is the hometown of Logan Paul, an influencer-turned-WWE star who currently holds the US Championship.

Paul recently addressed claims that he has received special treatment while with the company, which you can read more about right here.
