TNA has filed the trademark for the term ‘Wicked Garden’ following the recent match on IMPACT between the Hardys and the Righteous.

Two weeks ago on TNA Impact, the rivalry between The Hardys and the Righteous came to a head, when the two teams faced off in the first-ever ‘Wicked Garden’ match.

The match was a hardcore style street fight with garden aesthetics, including thorns on the ring ropes and an archway being used as a weapon.

The Righteous would pick up the win in the match, and it seems as though the stipulation may be set to become a staple of TNA moving forward.

TNA To Form New Identity Following Recent Major Shake Ups?

A number of major behind the scenes shake ups have been taking place in TNA over the past few days, with several key figures in the company now departing, most notably Tommy Dreamer, who wore many hats in the promotion including as part of the creative team.

With reports that Road Dogg may potentially join the company as Dreamer’s replacement, and the upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view taking place next weekend, now would be as good of a chance as any for the company to reset itself, forge it’s own unique identity to WWE or AEW.

Matches such as the Wicked Garden could be the first step towards doing so, with the Broken Hardys and the Righteous among the names on the roster that can lean into a more cinematic approach to wrestling, along with names like Rosemary and the Undead Realm, and the potential arrival of some of the members of the Wyatt Sicks.

While it seems almost impossible now for TNA to actively rival AEW as the number two promotion in the United States, that could end up being beneficial for the company, that can now use this time to carve out it’s own thing and cultivate it’s own dedicated fanbase, and turn a bad situation into something positive.
