This past weekend [December 15, 2019], ROH announced they had signed one of the top independent wrestlers in Australia to their company. Slex, who is a former Melbourne City Wrestling Champion, is on his way to ROH.
Slex is known as The Business. He was announced during the Final Battle Fallout Show.

At this time, no details on when he will start with the company or how long his contract is for have been released. However, ROH has typically signed their new contracts for a year. From ROH:
“In another example of Ring of Honor’s commitment to signing the best international talent in pro wrestling, top Australian star Slex is on his way to the company.
Slex’s impending arrival was announced in a video during Final Battle Fallout in Philadelphia Sunday night.
The Melbourne native has been a pro wrestler for more than half his life even though he’s just 33. Known as “The Business,” Slex is a two-time Melbourne City Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, and he also has competed for New Japan Pro-Wrestling.”
ROH is still trying to figure out how to right the ship. They have not seemed to bounce back from AEW starting and seeing a mass exodus of its talent leave all at the same time.
The most recent departures include Marty Scurll and Kelly Klein. As the new year begins, they are entering 2020 with a lot of new champions.
PCO won the ROH World Title from RUSH at Final Battle. Dragon Lee won the ROH Television Title from Shane Taylor.

In addition, Jonathan Gresham and Jay Lethal picked up the Tag Team Championships from the Bricscoes. Kelly Klein is gone but ROH has not announced plans for the Women’s Title.
It will be interesting to watch how ROH begins in 2020. Will the new Ingobernobles faction led by RUSH be enough to spark fans to come back? Or can the international talents like Slex bring in new viewers and widen the appeal.
