Top Dolla Reportedly Expected At August 12 WWE SmackDown

A former NXT star is reportedly expected to be backstage at the August 12 edition of SmackDown.

As previously noted, Triple H has remained aggressive on bringing back former WWE talent to help bolster the roster now that he has assumed all creative duties for the main roster.

Per PWInsider, there has been a lot of talent within the past 24 hours about a potential WWE return for Hit Row’s “Top Dolla” AJ Francis.

Francis worked with WWE for the NXT brand since January 2020 before being called up to the main roster with Hit Row’s Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Ashante Thee Adonis and B-Fab during the 2021 WWE Draft in October 2021.

On November 4, B-Fab was released from the company, while the rest of the group was released 15 days later.

Top Dolla was also the host of the first season of WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures on A&E.

According to several sources, AJ Francis is expected to be at tomorrow’s SmackDown taping in Raleigh, North Carolina.

It is not yet confirmed if he will appear on camera or is being brought in for something related to the A&E series, which has been filming its second season.

The former members of Hit Row has appeared for various independent promotions together, while Scott was signed to All Elite Wrestling in March, where he is currently once again known as Swerve Strickland and one half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions with Keith Lee.

Various former WWE talent have returned to the company since the new regime has taken over, such as Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Scarlett and Dexter Lumis.
