Triple H has called Carlito’s WWE return “long overdue.”
At WWE Fastlane 2023, Carlito returned to the company to team with the LWO’s Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar to defeat Bobby Lashley and Street Profits.
This marked Carlito’s first pinfall victory on a WWE pay-per-view since 2009 when he and Primo defeated John Morrison and The Miz to capture the Unified WWE Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 25.
During the WWE Fastlane press conference, Triple H discussed Carlito’s return to WWE. Stating that he was glad Carlito was back in the company, the WWE COO said:
“The return of Carlito tonight, long overdue and very excited for him.”
“As he would say, ‘That’s cool. You know, just excited to have him back excited to have him back home, and excited to see what he can what he can do on this run,”
Carlito previously returned to WWE at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico when he helped fend off The Judgment Day for Bad Bunny to defeat Damian Priest.
