WWE Hall Of Famer Praises Trish Stratus & Lita Wrestling At WrestleMania

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is set for her first match in over three years at WrestleMania 39 next month.

Trish will team with new WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Becky Lynch and Lita to face Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL.

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T discussed the match on his Hall of Fame podcast, where he said that having Trish and Lita on the show helps the business flourish.

He said:

“Think what you wish, but for this business to be able to flourish and move forward, it takes people like Lita being able to put these young girls in a position where one day they can be Lita.”

Booker continued on, noting that being around someone like Lita helps everyone around her step up their game to eventually become a star.

He said:

“You don’t really know what it’s like being a star until you’re around one, and then you think, ‘Man, I need to work on my game.’

“When Lita walks in — boom! Everybody knows who Lita is, and that’s what you want to be one day. That’s what this thing is all about, trying to give these young guys and these young girls the rub.”

Despite the six-woman tag team match being announced, the plan is reportedly still for Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler to leave WrestleMania as the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
