WWE has now addressed the role of Executive Chairman Vince McMahon in the company following McMahon’s major surgery.
As previously reported, Vince recently had a significant surgery, with the procedure lasting just under five hours.
It was later noted that McMahon’s spinal surgery was a “major, life altering operation”.
With McMahon now recovering from this procedure, WWE has now addressed the Executive Chairman’s future with the company.
In WWE’s latest quarterly report filed to the SEC on Wednesday (August 2), WWE stated that McMahon will be on medical leave until further notice, but will still be recognised as the WWE Executive Chairman:
“On July 21, 2023, Mr. McMahon went on medical leave after undergoing major spinal surgery.
“Mr. McMahon will remain on medical leave until further notice but will remain Executive Chairman of the Company.”
