What Happened During Adam Copeland’s AEW In-Ring Debut AEW

The October 10 Title Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite was headlined by Adam Copeland’s in-ring debut with the company.

The former Edge faced Christian Cage’s “Right Hand of Destruction” Luchasaurus in the main event.

Before the bout, Cage got on the mic to talk some trash about his former best friend. The TNT Champion even mentioned Copeland’s wife and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix.

Christian told Phoenix that she needs to put some clean sheets on the bed because the family’s new father is coming home after Luchasaurus destroys Copeland.

The match was another physical bout on a night filled of them. Copeland was overwhelmed by the size and strength of the much larger Luchasaurus.

The former TNT Champion held the advantage for much of the matchup.

One of the many highlights of the bout saw Copeland hit a huge running spear off the apron and the steel steps to Luchasaurus.

The finish saw Copeland snatch the TNT Championship belt from Christian Cage and hit Luchasaurus from behind before tossing the title back to his former best friend.

This led to “The Right Hand of Destruction” staring at Christian to accuse him of striking him with the title and then turning around into a spear from Copeland for the win.

Post match, Nick Wayne attacked Copeland from behind until Bryan Danielson came down for the save. However, the numbers of the heels got the better of Danielson and Copeland until the Blackpool Combat Club came down for another save.

Fans witnessed even more competitors come down to the ring when Gates of Agony with Swerve Strickland following behind. Hangman Adam Page then came down to brawl with Swerve.

The show closed with Danielson applying the LeBell Lock on Christian making him tap out to close.

This leads into Cage defending the TNT Championship against Bryan Danielson on the Saturday, October 14 edition of AEW Collision.

Also on the Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite, two huge title changes took place with Orange Cassidy beating Rey Fenix for the AEW International Championship and Hikaru Shida defeating Saraya to become the first ever three-time AEW Women’s World Championship.
