If you’re watching AEW Dynamite tonight (May 31) and the first match of the night, you might be wondering what is Bandido wearing?
Admittedly, Bandido’s attire for the night is a relatively niche reference, unless you have an Abuela at home perhaps!
Bandido was wearing ring gear that was brightly colored in red and yellow, which sort of looked like a super hero but with a big yellow heart with a B in red on the chest.
So what is Bandido wearing on AEW Dynamite?
For tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite from San Diego, California Bandido (of note, who was born in 1995) threw it all the way back to a fun cultural reference for members of the live crowd and watching at home.
The attire in homage to a late 70s Spanish language comedy show, El Chapulín Colorado which was a parody of American Superhero shows of the time but with a hilarious hero.
El Chapulín Colorado was unfortunately a horribly inept hero who often did not solve problems, rather made them more complicated in his efforts.
Bandido’s attire isn’t the only thing gaining attention tonight, after hoisting Wheeler Yuta into a might delayed vertical suplex for an intensely long time.
On tonight’s show, fans will hear from Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita after their stunning betrayal of Elite at Double Or Nothing.
Also announced for tonight, a big match up with Chris Jericho and Saraya taking on foes Adam Cole and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. after their continued feud did not end at AEW Double or Nothing.
Elsewhere, newly crowned TBS Champion Kris Statlander will face her first title defense as she puts the championship on the line against Nyla Rose.
An announcement from Tony Khan about the debut of AEW Collision, as well as the Lucha Bros with Bandido taking on the Blackpool Combat Club, are also on deck for tonight’s Dynamite.
