Will Ospreay Next AEW Feud Revealed? AEW

Following major wins earlier this year over AEW stars Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega, IWGP UK (US) Champion Will Ospreay may have revealed his next target in AEW.

Speaking with Tokyo Sports, Ospreay spoke about the possibility of a match against Bryan Danielson.

While many would be hesitant to predict a winner between the two, Ospreay confidently stated that he is currently better than The American Dragon and would defeat him in straight forward fashion.

Ospreay said:

“There’s only one opponent left, Bryan Danielson. For the past seven years, Bryan has been called the best wrestler in the world.

“I respect him too, but right now I’m the best in the world and I want to prove it.

“Bryan beat Okada even with a broken arm. It’s very tough. But on the other hand, it’s easy to get injured. I’m confident that if I fight, I’ll win easily.”

Ospreay referenced Danielson’s main event victory over Kazuchika Okada in the main event of AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door.

At the same event, Ospreay defeated Kenny Omega to win back the IWGP US Championship.

The Aerial Assassin has since defeated Chris Jericho, pinning the wrestling veteran in a high-profile match at AEW All In London.

While Ospreay clearly fancies a bout with Danielson before the AEW star steps away from full-time competition next year, Danielson will be busy at WrestleDream on October 1.

At this event, Danielson will finally go one-on-one with Zack Sabre Jr.

Ospreay is also preparing for his IMPACT Wrestling return on October 21, which you can read more about right here.
