WOS Wrestling has secured a landmark deal with US broadcaster Stadium, who will air 10 one-hour episodes weekly from Sunday May 12 at 7pm EST (plus repeats).
This is the first time that a British produced wrestling series has been licensed to an American channel.
The WOS TV series, featuring the top UK names including Grado, Viper, Justin Sysum, Adam Maxted, Rampage and Will Ospreay, and hosted by Stu Bennett, Alex Shane and SoCal Val, first aired on ITV1 in the UK in summer 2018.
WOS is the successor to World of Sport wrestling which aired on national UK TV throughout the 1950s to the mid-1980s and created some of the biggest legends in pro wrestling including Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and Kendo Nagaski.
Stadium is based in Chicago, Illinois and is a free, 24/7 sports network featuring exclusive live and on-demand games and events, extensive highlights, classic games, original programming, and daily live studio programming.
Stadium can be viewed anytime via WatchStadium.com/Live, Stadium over-the-air channels, The Roku Channel, Sling TV, Samsung TV Plus and many others.
In addition to the UK and USA, WOS Wrestling programming also airs in India, Poland, throughout sub-Saharan Africa and available worldwide with Fite TV.
ITV Licensing has been appointed exclusive global licensing agency, with deals to be announced shortly.
WOS Wrestling’s first live event tour was held in January/February 2019 to sell-out audiences and rave reviews, promoted by SJM Concerts, the UK’s leading independent concert promoter.
