WWE NXT star Javier Bernal has addressed his squash match loss on Friday’s (February 16) edition of SmackDown.
With Bernal mostly active at NXT house shows, Javier has addressed his lack of TV time a number of times on social media in recent months, in hopes of wrestling more televised matches.
Bernal’s wish was granted by a monkey’s paw, with the NXT star teaming with Beau Morris on SmackDown, with the duo squashed by Akam & Rezar of the Authors of Pain in just one minute.
You can watch the squash match below.
Bernal has now taken to Twitter to comment on this appearance, writing:
We Want Javi #SmackDown 💔
Inviting people to check out his work on the NXT brand, he also tweeted:
Just while I have everyone’s attention. Make sure you’re at #NXTLakeland tomorrow night. If y’all wants a work horse, you have one in me. #Smackdown
While Javier Bernal was in action on NXT Level Up earlier this month, he hasn’t wrestled on the actual NXT TV episode since July 25, 2023, when he lost to Von Wagner in under a minute.
Current NXT Tag Team Champion Bron Breakker also appeared on this week’s edition of SmackDown, with Breakker officially signing with the blue brand during Friday’s live broadcast.
A spoiler has emerged on what’s next for Breakker on the main roster, which you can read more about right here.
