Two WWE Main Roster Stars Moving To NXT WWE

A fresh start is beckoning for two members of Alpha Academy as they seem to be heading to WWE NXT this week.

Otis and Akira Tozawa lost their WrestleMania 40 Tag Team Championship Qualifying Match which would see The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) victorious.

Highlights from the match, which saw Woods get the pin on Tozawa, can be seen below this news story.

Otis wasn’t fazed by the loss, however, making comments in a WWE Digital Exclusive that can also be seen below.

Speaking after the match, the Alpha Academy member said:

“Let me tell you something – the Alpha Academy, me and Tozawa, lost our opportunity for WrestleMania.

“You know what? Every loss comes the next… the next task at hand.

“The task at hand is a fresh start, maybe somewhere new, maybe we’ll find different opportunities and different matches.

“And yes, with a new place, I’m talking about…”

This would be Tozawa’s moment to speak and he would say:

“Tomorrow night. Thank you.”

This week’s episode of WWE NXT takes place on March 19 with Trick Williams making his in-ring return for the first time since Vengeance Day, facing Meta-Four’s Noam Dar.

There will also be two matches WWE NXT Tag Team tournament to decide the contenders for Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin’s championship at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 6, 2024.

On tonight’s episode Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson face Hank Walker & Tank Ledger while Axiom & Nathan Frazer will take on two members of the No Quarter Catch Crew.

Chad Gable has recently discussed how Alpha Academy stay relevant on WWE television.

Following his loss in the Gauntlet match on the March 11 WWE Raw to decide who would face Gunther at WrestleMania 40, a clearly emotional Gable discussed “coming up short“.
