After making his official WWE in-ring debut at the 2025 Royal Rumble, the backstage reaction to IShowSpeed has been revealed.
While his time in the Royal Rumble match was short, it was impactful according to one new report.
During his entrance at #8 in the Royal Rumble, Akira Tozawa was attacked by Carmelo Hayes and was determined to be unable to compete.
Shown backstage, officials informed Triple H that Tozawa wouldn’t be able to compete and instead he grabbed the attention of IShowSpeed.
The viral star was backstage chatting with Stephanie McMahon, as Triple H ordered him to enter the Royal Rumble match and he went on to make his entrance and head to the ring.
After receiving a shocking spear from Bron Breakker, IShowSpeed was ultimately eliminated from the Rumble, which Jey Uso went on to win.
According to PWInsider, when they asked about IShowSpeed and his participation at this weekend’s WWE Royal Rumble, they heard glowing reviews.
Being told that “the company absolutely ‘adored’ him and would love to have him involved down the line”, he may even be a possibility for WrestleMania.
Noting that the goal of his attendance was to “help get outside attention on the company,” the streaming sensation reportedly delivered “in an absolutely insane way”.
WWE has already begun to sell event specific IShowSpeed merchandise featured on their website at time of writing.
