A WWE star has shared a brand new look following their release from the company back in April.

On April 24, WWE released over 20 names from their roster across Raw, SmackDown and NXT, including the likes of Kairi Sane, The Wyatt Sicks, Santos Escobar and Zoey Stark.

Among the most surprising exits was husband and wife pairing Aleister Black and Zelina Vega, with the former only re-signing with the company one year prior, and latter being a former Women’s United States Champion.

While Zelina has already rebranded herself as Xelina, fans have been left guessing regarding Black’s post-WWE future, as little has been heard from the Dutch star since he was let go by the company. That was until today (August 6) however, as Black has taken to Instagram to share a new video titled ‘I am the death of me.’

The video (see below) shows Black going about his routine for a few days, as he does such recreational activities as shooting and painting figures, before he begins transitioning into martial arts training after his third day waking up.

As the video goes on, he begins paying closer attention to a mannequin wearing a mask and jacket reminiscent of his time as Malakai Black in AEW.

After the mannequin moves on its own, a transition happens which shows Black sporting a new shaved head look before more footage of him performing intense martial arts training is shown.

The video finally ends with a sinister laugh from the former AEW star, as it fades to black.

The cryptic nature of the video leaves a lot of questions, but it’s evident by watching it that Black is physically in the best shape of his career, and fans will be anticipating where he lands amid his free agency.

We will provide updates on Black’s future as news becomes available.

Is The AEW Bridge Burned For Aleister Black?

Back in May, former AEW World Champion MJF sent a scathing message to Aleister Black during an interview with Ariel Helwani, telling him to “f**k off and go elsewhere” rather than return to the company.

While MJF did also invite Black to “prove him wrong” it was evident by MJF’s comments that Black may have burned a few bridges in AEW during his spell there.

MJF said it was obvious Black was the biggest offender when it came to talent coming into AEW and using the company as a launchpad to return to WWE, but now that WWE has not panned out, it leaves the Dutch star in an awkward position in regards to his future.

Andrade El Idolo’s success in his second AEW run has proven there can be a way back for talent who previously left to join WWE, so perhaps Black will also receive that opportunity.

Alternatively, Black could perhaps head to TNA Wrestling or even NJPW or CMLL, with the latter two potentially also paving the way for a way back into AEW.

Whatever the case, Black still feels like he has a lot of untapped potential, as he looks to reach the levels of success that his time in NXT promised almost a decade ago.
