Big E Pitches Unique Match For WWE WrestleMania

The New Day’s Big E has pitched a unique for WrestleMania 40 and it all stemmed from a conversation with Xavier Woods.

Big E may still be sidelined with no timetable for an in-ring return, but has recently said that he wants “to make a smart decision” before stepping between the ropes again.

He would, no doubt, be a shoo-in to win the match that he proposed on WWE’s The Bump, however, suggesting:

“I had a conversation earlier with my man Woodsy and he floated an idea that I think is fascinating.

“Some sort of a Meaty Man Invitational I think to be held at WrestleMania, the first inaugural..

“Imagine, just the largest, most bulbous, most girthy men on the roster all gathering in one match to decide who is worthy of being crowned the meatiest man on God’s green Earth.”

As for Big E, he had a vision of how he could be used in such a match, going on to add:

“Imagine me showing up to their homes, ringing their doorbells like Ed McMahon back in the day.

“Saying “hello, dear sir, you’ve been selected to take part in an event, a historic event, one that will not be forgotten. And, you will face all the men with chests that are ‘stend’… all the ‘stended’ chests, you know what I mean. You’ll be in the ring with all the men… the chest has to come out… You’ve been selected to be in this match and… you’ll have an opportunity to be in the first match ever to decide who will be the Meatiest Man.

“I think that is a worthy match for WrestleMania.”

Xavier Woods was brought to fits of laughter by Big E’s enthusiasm for the match suggestion, finding particular joy in the description of the chests that all the competitors would be required to have.

At the time of writing, there’s no information as to whether the inaugural Meaty Men Invitational will take place at a show known as WrestleMania XL, though the name would lend itself well to the match.
