WWE commentator Corey Graves has broken character to admit that he actually had fun with a popular star’s return at Royal Rumble 2024.
While Saturday’s (January 27) premium live event featured a number of shocks and surprises, the first came before the matches even started, with Pat McAfee returning to the commentary desk.
McAfee was also one of the surprise entrants in the men’s Rumble match, entering the match in the #22 spot and eliminating himself less than a minute later.
While Corey Graves usually acts like he’s just putting up with McAfee, the announcer took to Twitter to admit that he actually enjoys McAfee being behind the commentary table.
Noting that he won’t be saying this again, Graves wrote:
I will admit this publicly once and only once.
Nobody has more fun when @PatMcAfeeShow is on the other side of the desk than I do.
What a night. #RoyalRumble
One of the biggest surprises of the night saw current TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace competing in the women’s Royal Rumble match for 19 minutes.
A popular star has now commented on WWE and TNA Wrestling working together, which you can read more about right here.
