WWE Champion Cody Rhodes Hollywood Future Update WWE

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has addressed his future in Hollywood, following recent movie appearances.

Following Cody Rhodes’ cameo appearance in the 2025 The Naked Gun movie, the WWE Champion will appear in the upcoming Street Fighter film as Guile.

Speaking on Complex Graps The Podcast, Rhodes noted that he feels he will be able to balance his WWE work and working on Hollywood projects moving forward.

Discussing his film roles, Rhodes said:

“Well, I do consider myself a master juggler. The really bright side of the question is, WWE now is run by Nick Khan and Triple H. Nick Khan knows the value of the Street Fighter IP.

“I don’t think it’s breaking news, I heard my opponent (Drew McIntyre) is going to be part of Highlander. These are great for WWE.

“They’re great for the fans, they’re great for us who grew up with it, and then ‘Oh look, it’s Batista, and he’s getting the biggest laughs in the theater’, which as a wrestling fan is like ‘Yes, he did it!’

“I think it will all work out in a sense. I owe WWE, especially when you have this (WWE Championship), you owe everything to WWE minus perhaps your soul, but sometimes that gets brought into question too.

“But I think I’ll be able to balance it. As you’ve said, they’ve come a-calling, and I really appreciate everyone there, Brad Slater, WME, I appreciate that direction for sure.”

Cody Rhodes WWE WrestleMania 42 plans

Cody Rhodes is now set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42.

Orton earned this championship match by winning the Elimination Chamber match on February 28, interestingly, last pinning Cody Rhodes to punch his ticket for WrestleMania.

Rhodes went on to defeat Drew McIntyre on the March 6 edition of SmackDown to regain the WWE Championship.

The March 13 show saw Rhodes and Orton meet for a contract signing, which ultimately ended with Orton brutalizing the American Nightmare, turning heel in the process.

This character change appeared to be a reintroduction of “2009 Randy Orton”, the more violent version of Orton which was WWE’s top heel at the time.
