Legendary Boxer Muhammad Ali Added To WWE Game

Muhammad Ali, the legendary boxer and Greatest of All Time, is to be unlockable in the mobile game WWE Champions.

Ali was a special guest referee in the first ever WrestleMania for the match that pitted Hulk Hogan & Mr. T against “Rowdy” Roddy Piper & “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff.

The boxing icon passed away at the age of 74 on June 3, 2016.

Already with a Mattel WWE action figure to his name, Ali will now be an unlockable in WWE Champions.

Players will be able to get Ali-related content as part of the Sting Like a Bee contest that started on July 31.

According to the official WWE Champions website:

“The GREATEST Muhammad Ali has arrived in WWE Champions! Get a chance to earn his Poster in various rarities for a limited-time only!

“Progress in the Contest and get him at 3-Star GOLD as TOP FREE Milestone Reward! Collect Medallions and redeem them on the Prize Wall for his NEW Gear and a 6-Star Bronze Poster of him!”

Starting Monday, July 31, The Greatest of All Time will be available to earn as a playable character until Friday, Aug. 4, adding a new layer of power and charisma to “WWE Champions,” the beloved and challenging puzzle RPG experience available on mobile and Web. With Muhammad Ali in the ring alongside iconic WWE Superstars, the revered boxing legend will forge previously unimaginable dream matchups.

Jump into the game now and experience the thrill of Muhammad Ali in “WWE Champions”! Muhammad Ali will be earnable by completing the “Sting Like a Bee” Solo Contest available from July 31 through Aug. 4. Players will also be able to earn “Sting Like a Bee” Medallion currency through Showdown Tournament and Solo Contests to redeem for further rewards on a new Prize Wall featuring alternate gear and more Ali-themed items.
