Dustin Rhodes has opened up about brotherly competition between himself and Cody Rhodes, admitting he’s a little jealous of Cody’s recent success.
Cody has been on the run of his career since returning to WWE in April 2022.
While he was out of action from that June to January 2023, absence only made the heart grow fonder, with many backing Cody heading into his WWE Undisputed Universal Title bout against Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 39.
Speaking on the Wrestling Perspective podcast, Dustin Rhodes admitted that while he is proud of Cody, he’s a tad envious of the former AEW EVP’s success.
Dustin noted:
“To sit back now and watch Cody in his turn, in his prime, kicking ass and taking names and I’m just like, ‘Yeah, I’m a little jealous. He’s doing such a great job with that. That’s just the brotherly competition between us.”
Cody was a first-round draft pick during the WWE Draft which began on the April 28 edition of SmackDown, with Monday Night Raw opting to keep the American Nightmare.
