Dominik Mysterio Reveals Number One Skill Wrestlers Need For WWE Success

Dominik Mysterio has named the number one skill he believes wrestlers need in order to succeed in WWE.

Part of WWE storytelling since Rey Mysterio & Eddie Guerrero’s custody battle over him in 2005, Dominik Mysterio has gone on to be a star in his own right, seeing his in-ring career start at SummerSlam in 2020.

Since his loss to Seth Rollins in the Street Fight at the August 2020 PLE, Mysterio has had championship success alongside his now ‘deadbeat dad’ and as a member of Judgment Day, having been a member of the faction since 2022.

The self-proclaimed ‘Greatest Mysterio of All Time’ was asked what he felt the number one thing that wrestlers needed was during an appearance on JaackMaate’s Happy Hour, responding:

“I would say, being able to be adaptable.

“The nature of our business goes, you just never really know how the audience is gonna react. You never know how things might go or things might change in an instant.

“You have an idea, and then right before you go out there, the idea changes or something gets moved, and you just have to adapt and change on the fly, or do what you need to do in that moment.

“So I feel like if you can’t adapt or can’t with the program it’s gonna eat you up and spit you out.”

A former SmackDown Tag Team Championship with Rey Mysterio, Dominik has gone on to be a two-time Intercontinental and NXT North American Champion and currently holds the AAA Mega Championship.

‘Eat You Up, Spit You Out’

During his earlier years in Judgment Day, Dominik Mysterio on the microphone was typically accompanied by the sound of the vast majority of the fans in attendance loudly booing the star.

Such was the reaction that it was suggested that some of the reaction was being piped into the venue, something that Mysterio would dismiss, while noting the sound was getting ‘louder and louder’ every time he took to the microphone.

The reaction would shift at WrestleMania 41, with Dominik Mysterio becoming Intercontinental Champion and being cheered by the fans. Triple H was asked if he was surprised by the reaction, commenting, “Not really. When you’re that bad, people love it. It’s kind of a good thing.”

To this day, Mysterio has continued to garner the reaction he seeks from the fans, entertaining alongside his Judgment Day teammates and proving the importance of being adaptable.
