WWE has announced more stars for the NXT Global Heritage Invitational Tournament, including a popular SmackDown name.
The NXT brand will soon hold a unique tournament to determine the next challenger for Noam Dar’s NXT Heritage Cup.
Previously announced for the tournament were Tyler Bate, representing England, and Joe Coffey, who will represent Scotland.
WWE has now announced two more stars for the tournament. On Twitter it was revealed that Duke Hudson will wrestle on behalf of Australia in the competition.
An interesting English representative was also revealed, SmackDown star Butch.
This means that Butch is set to return to the NXT ring for the first time since October 2022, and the first time in a singles capacity since March 2022.
Also, Butch’s addition to the line-up means that we’re guaranteed to see an exciting rematch.
This tournament will feature two blocks of four competitors each competing in a round robin style format.
The point leaders of the two blocks will face off on the September 26 edition of NXT to determine a tournament winner, and the challenger to Noam Dar’s Heritage Cup at NXT No Mercy.
As Butch and Tyler Bate are both in Block A, we are guaranteed to see this highly anticipated rematch.
