WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has recalled a heated exchange with former two-time WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.
Bobby Lashley has established himself as one of the most decorated and accomplished WWE stars of the past two decades.
“The All Mighty” recently stated that he looked up to two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and felt he took him under his wing during his initial run with the promotion.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T brought up the recent interview and recalled his first meeting with Bobby Lashley. He said:
“You know because, when I first met Bobby Lashley, and I saw this specimen in front of me, I was like god, man… This guy’s a Greek god, man!”
Detailing the heated interaction he had with Lashley when trying to give the young star some advice, Booker T said:
“And he’d had a match, and he went out there and the guy just beat him up, and he was all over, just flopping all over the place.”
“And I went to Bobby and I said, ‘No, Bobby, you can’t do this, we can’t do this.’”
“And Bobby, you know, he said something mean that wasn’t to my liking, and I was like ‘Man, I don’t know if I ever want to talk to this guy again.’ And I didn’t talk to Bobby for months.”
Revealing that things eventually got reconciled when Lashley approached him, Booker stated:
“And then finally one day Bobby came to me and I stressed to him, you know, ‘You’ve gotta take the bull by the horns. You can’t let the bull ride you.’”
“And I wanted him to understand that you’ve gotta go out there and carve your own path. You’ve gotta understand what the psychology of this thing is.”
Bobby Lashley will compete in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match to determine who will face Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at the titular event on February 24.
