Cody Rhodes WWE King & Queen Of The Ring Plans Update WWE

The WWE King & Queen of the Ring takes place on May 25, 2024, in Saudi Arabia and the main event will reportedly feature Cody Rhodes.

So far, the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournament finals have been announced as being held at the Jeddah Super Dome.

Other matches on the upcoming PLE will see Becky Lynch defending the WWE Women’s World Championship against Liv Morgan and the WWE Intercontinental Championship defended in a Triple Threat Match with Sami Zayn vs. Chad Gable vs. Bronson Reed.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cody Rhodes will main event the show:

We were told by those in WWE that Rhodes is pegged for the main event on this show in a title match and the opponent should start being built imminently since the show is so close at hand.

It was recently reported that Saudi Arabia was hoping to attract more PLEs to the Kingdom, with Royal Rumble, WrestleMania and Survivor Series in their sights.

This interest in Royal Rumble and WrestleMania were first noted in a story that revealed plans to announce a “partnership enhancement” between WWE and Saudi Arabia.

As previously reported, Bobby Lashley will no longer be part of the King of the Ring Tournament as he is ‘not cleared to compete’.
