Pat McAfee made his WWE return on last week’s episode of SmackDown, where he and The Rock opened the show in a segment with Austin Theory.
McAfee has been largely absent from WWE commentary for a year, when he took on a role on ESPN for College GameDay back in September 2022.
After a legendary career in Football, McAfee has now been announced as a potential nominee for the NFL Hall of Fame class of 2024.
McAfee has been listed as a potential nominee for the role of punter/kicker alongside former punters/kickers Darren Bennett, Jeff Feagles, Sean Landeta, Shane Lechler, Brad Maynard, Pat McAfee, Brian Moorman, and Matt Turk.
McAfee last wrestled for WWE back at WrestleMania 39, when he defeated The Miz in an impromptu match on night one.
McAfee also hosts the Pat McAfee Show, where he had Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as a guest on last week’s episode of the show.
McAfee has described how Rock’s appearance on the show came to be, which you can see here.
McAfee also said he was ‘very confident’ about his WWE future following the show.
